The B3 [Brooklyn Bridge Biodiversity Park] re-appropriates the underside infrastructural space of the bridge – transforming it from a vacant to a civic venue. Urban ecological habitation and outdoor rock climbing are synthesized with rappelling, belaying, bouldering and traversing, situated amongst green walls and nesting sites. The project designed in collaboration with Method Design was published in By The City / For The City: An Atlas of Possibility for the Future of New York for the Institute of Urban Design and Urban Design Week 2011.
